DEW Animal Kingdom maintains a Animal Rehabilitation Permit issued by the State of Maine to rehabilitate injured, orphaned or sick animals indigenous to Maine and release them back into the wild.

DEW Animal Kingdom has treated and released many animals that otherwise would not have survived their injuries, illnesses or loss of a provider.
